The latest REIWA figures for the week ending 9 August have put Mandurah firmly on the radar, with 12 Mandurah rentals leased in just one week — ranking the suburb No. 2 for rental activity across WA.
So, what does that actually tell us?
It’s a positive signal of active tenant demand, but it doesn’t automatically mean every rental will attract a premium rent or lease instantly.
For landlords, the more important questions are:
What rent could your property realistically achieve today?
How does it compare with competing rentals in your area?
How quickly are similar properties leasing?
Is the presentation attracting the right applicants?
Are there opportunities to improve your property’s return?
In an active rental market, local knowledge matters. Understanding what tenants are choosing, what they’re willing to pay and how your property compares can make a meaningful difference to your investment’s performance.
At Kevin Green Real Estate, we’ve been Made in Mandurah since 1969, so we know the local market goes well beyond a headline or a weekly statistic.
