Erskine’s market slowed in August in terms of sales activity but remained strong in price performance with
quick turnaround times for both sales and rentals.
SALES
There were 8 residential sales recorded during the month which is lower than July and 50 percent down
from the same time last year. The median house price climbed to $730,000 showing a 12.3 percent increase year on year.
LISTINGS
Listings remained tight with only 6 properties advertised for sale at the end of August which is 25 percent
lower than the same time last year.
LAND
Land activity was very limited with no recorded sales in August. The last reported median land price sat at
$490,000 and no blocks were available for sale by month’s end.
SALES TIME ON MARKET
Homes sold in a median of just 3 days consistent with July and well below the long term average. Units also moved quickly with a median of 7 days on market.
RENTALS
Rental activity picked up pace with 7 leases signed for houses and 2 for units. Median rent for houses
remained at $625 per week while units sat at $500 per week.
RENTALS TIME ON MARKET
There were 6 house rentals and 3 unit rentals listed at the end of August. Properties leased in a median of 23 days for houses and 21 days for units showing continued demand across both segments
